Everything was wonderful! Athena was so helpful and responsive with everything! And the view from the balcony was absolutely gorgeous!!!!

Unser kleines Appartement hatte leider keine regenfeste Überdachung auf der Terrasse.

The location was superb and the view absolutely amazing. We had no trouble finding the place, and the host was very helpful with directions. The apartment was well equipped, and we really appreciated the sun umbrellas that I had requested in advance. The highlight for us was the fantastic balcony (an extension of the living room) with an incredible view, a table and chairs, and even a handy spot to hang towels and swimsuits. It was the perfect place to relax. The bathroom was spacious and had a lovely wide countertop where we could easily spread out all our things. Very convenient. If I could suggest one improvement, it would be to provide a small “essentials kit” in the kitchen. Even a roll of paper towels would have been useful, along with basics like olive oil, salt, and sugar. The bedrooms were on the smaller and slightly darker side, but the bright living room and that amazing balcony more than made up for it.

Very interesting apartment, just a short walk from the center. Beautiful sea view from the balcony. Driving up to the house might seem tricky at first (steep hill and narrow entrance), but we managed just fine.

Outstanding view

die Lage - nach einer sehr steilen Zufahrt hat man einen überwältigenden Blick auf die Küste und die Insel Ithaka. Die großzügige Terrasse bot ausreichend Platz für 4 Personen, auch an eine Wäscheleine zum Aufhängen der Badehandtücher wurde gedacht. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr freundlich und reagiert sofort auf mögliche Fragen. Handtuchwechsel erfolgt 2 x pro Woche. Sehr angenehm war die Klimaanlage in allen Räumen. Ausreichend überdachte Parkplätze stehen auf dem Grundstück zur Verfügung. Einige Restaurants sowie eine kleine Kiesbucht sind fußläufig zu erreichen.

Während unseres Aufenthalts Ende September gab es sehr viele Wespen auf der Terrasse; mit kleineren Kindern muss man daher vorsichtig sein, wenn draußen gegessen wird. Eine Waschmaschine hätten wir sehr begrüßt, obwohl die Gastgeberin angeboten hat, unsere Wäsche zu waschen.

This is a beautiful apartment with fantastic views of Agia Efimia and the bay. We stayed in the penthouse apartment which has a wrap around balcony with two sun loungers and an outside table and chairs for alfresco dining. It is beautifully maintained with Aircon and lots of kitchen equipment if required. Within walking distance of the village which is about 15 minutes away. The property is well cared for and our bed linen and towels were changed twice during our 9 day. The hosts are very welcoming and we appreciated the welcome package. WiFi is available but is very slow was slow. Free onsite parking and area for a BBQ should you wish. There are some lovely restaurants in the village. We prefer to eat traditional food and there are a couple of lovely tavernas next to the harbour, our favourite being To Steki Taverna and Foinikas for breakfast. However if you wish to walk further round the harbour, at the top end near Paradise beach there are some fabulous more upmarket restaurants. We particularly liked this area which felt a little more traditionally Greek. Sea Rock is amazing with gorgeous food and great service. We also loved the Cactus Bar for amazing cocktails, superb views over the bay and where the staff were also very friendly.

We loved our time in Agia Efimia. Kefalonia is one of our favourites holiday destinations and we have visited several times. We felt however that Agia Efimia is much more suited as a base for travelling around the island and exploring. We did not hire a car and had simply gone for a chill time in the sun. You are restricted with places to swim. There is only one main pebble beach in Agia Efimia (Paradise Beach) which is very small and about a 20 minute walk from the apartment. There is an idyllic little beach just down from the apartment next to the cemetery. It's is beautiful but very small and will not fit more than 2 couples on the pebble beach. We were very lucky in that we mostly had the beach to ourselves for the whole holiday. A few local Greeks came to swim but that was it. There is no shade however and you would need to buy a beach umbrella from the local shop if you are not a sun worshipper. Same can be said for Paradise Beach. I wouldn't say that these beaches were suitable for families. The sea was quite choppy for us most of the time. We had a couple of days where it was calm. The major downside for us was the very steep road up to the apartment. We really feel that this should be noted in the description of the property as had we known, we would not have booked this particular apartment. It is a killer! We consider ourselves to be fit 65 year olds but we did find climbing and going down a challenge in the heat, to the point where we restricted the number of times we left the property. We were told by one of the local taxi companies that most drivers refused to drive up it!!!!!! Anyone with a disability, young families with children or the elderly would really struggle!!!
