GreKa Ionian Suites

What a wonderful place with a wonderful host. Truly, the gem of kefalonia, would thoroughly recommend to anybody.

Location, thoughtful kind host

My stay at the GreKa Ionian Suites was 10/10 5-Stars. The owner, Afroditi is always on hand to assist with taxis, hire cars and recommendations for the best places to visit on the Island. The suites are well equipped with comfy beds, powerful showers, aircon, wifi. The views of the bay are stunning.

Far exceeded our expectations. Beautiful location with fabulous views. Aphrodite, our host, gave great advice on local restaurants, where to visit and how to get there and was always available.

Could not fault it.

The location

They took advantage of us because of the busy season, and they charged us three times more of their normal rates. It was impossible to find parking.

Afroditi met us on arrival even though we arrived late after 11.00pm, she welcomed us and showed us to the apartment. The apartment is well equipped for self catering including an oven (which you often don't get), it has a lovely comfortable bed and a great shower. There are two balconies (Kefalonia suite) one large and a smaller one with a fabulous sea view. Afroditi is a wonderful host and helped us to sort out an issue with our hire car by phoning the rental company so that we were able to return the car a couple of hours later than we had originally arranged, this is just one example of how Afroditi goes above and beyond expectations. My wife and I have been to Kefalonia 5 times over the past 8 years and this was the best apartment we have stayed at. To top it all there is a lovely swimming pool, never too busy. We hope to return.

Afroditi is a wonderful host, her suites and pool and indeed the whole small complex are spotless and of a high standard. Afroditi really couldn't do enough for us. We loved that we were short walking distance from the beautiful village of Agia Effimia and its great Tavernas. Stunning views and lovely pool. We highly recommend and will be returning soon.

Plumbing in Greece is the same everywhere! But nothing really a problem. We had a great time.

Beautiful location. Apartments are traditionally Greek. Very comfortable, extremely clean. Lucky to have such a lovely pool with loungers etc, not many people use it. So it’s virtually your own! Views from apartments are beautiful.Afrodite and the staff are so lovely, helpful and nothing is any trouble. The village has everything you could need. Lovely little beach by the Paradise cafe. Our favourite restaurant was Searock, excellent food and lovely ambience. Kefalonia is beautiful, Assos, Myrtos, Fiscardo all lovely but our favourite was the village where we stayed.
