Relax Apartment 2 LYA

I can only compliment the cleaning lady who was waiting for us on arrival to let us in, and had done a great job of leaving the place very clean for us. She spoke no English but we communicated in Spanish, so that was not a problem for us. The apartment is next door to a shopping area with supermarket and other shops with everything you need. But the walk into town is not pleasant, right next to a very busy and noisy road.

Unfortunately we did not enjoy our short stay here because the place stank of cigarette smoke, even though it was listed as non-smoking. Even after leaving all the windows open for hours and using odour-neutraliser sprays, it made absolutely no difference. We had booked it for 3 nights but had to leave the next morning. What we don't understand is why there would be an ashtray in a place that is supposedly non-smoking. There were cigarette burns in various places. The smell was not "fresh" smoke either. The whole apartment would need new furnishings and repainting to get rid of the smell. We felt cheated and had to get booking.com involved. Thankfully after their intervention we received a refund for the 2 nights we didn't use, but quite frankly we felt we deserved a full refund for the inconvenience and the uncomfortable night we spent there. The price was also very high for such an old apartment, considering we booked a place in Cluj for the same amount, but totally new and with 2 bedrooms!

Smell of ciggarets smoke

The host was super kind, gave us lots of tips about where to eat and even borrowed us their umbrella as it was raining. The apartment was very clean. The Internet worked fine. Free parking in front of the house.

Nothing really, just be aware that the apartment is not super close to the city centre in case you were planning to walk, but it was ok for us as we rented a car.

The host was very friendly and helpful. The apartment is big, nice rooms, nice kitchen, huge fridge and very comfortable bed. The window is nicely protected, so no mosquitos (very important for a good sleep). The walk to the Sighisoara centre was not far, easy and and beautiful! The apartment is very close to Kaufland, dm, also close to Lidl.
