Spa needs some serious attention - many lockers don't work, perhaps having time slots for different properties to reduce how busy it is? pretty wet and grotty changing rooms at the end of the evening, and no where to get changed

Size of apartment for location, two separate bathrooms, modern kitchen (proper oven). Spa was lovely. Short walk to piste. Heated ski locker. Intersport and Sherpa on location. Fun vibe of Chair lift going over Chalet Block 3 added to the immersive experience!

The single lift was not always adequate to meet demand at peak times. Ski back could be tricky dependent on ability - the alternative is an uphill walk.

We rented a 6-10 people apartment only for 3 people because we knew that flats in Val Thorens are usually small and crammed and we wanted to be comfortable. However, this place is not the choice if you want comfort. Far from the restaurants and bars area, always a hike back if you want to dine out. Chalet 6 was old and outdated and had a huge hole in the ceiling at the entrance probably due to some flooding. Some repair work was underway during our stay, very unpleasant. Apartment had a plumbing issue so it was always smelling bad inside. Shower drainage clogged, water flowing over when showering. Apartment floors not clean, no towel or sheets change during stay. Furniture was super old, except for the kitchen which was pretty new, nicely stocked and had working washing machine. All above not huuuge issues but made our stay very unpleasant. Boot warmer in the ski room didn’t work so our boots were cold and wet the next day - so if you choose to stay at Les Balcons, take the boots upstairs with you if you want them warm in the morning. Spa area is decent but it’s very small for the number of people and you have to walk outside to get there, no option to go though hotel. Parking is underground and close by so that is a plus. But you have to be a pro to navigate the tight spaces without hitting your car in the walls. Also, heard lots of people that they’ve hit the floor with their spoilers when going down a floor because of the very steep ramps. We had a Jeep so not an issue, but for lower cars it might be. Overall, I think there could be better options in terms of accommodation for this price.

The fact that after snowboarding there wasn’t such a long way to walk with your stuff on your back, but that’s it.

Not sure where to begin: - upon arrival there was so little staff that there were dozens of ppl squished in the lobby waiting a really long time to check in - it was so dirty, that I had to put plastic bags on the bottom of the wardrobe shelves before putting my clothes, as there was no piece of cloth to wash it with, as I wanted to - one change of towels in a week is really, but really not enough - no soap in the kitchen or bathroom, no dish soap, no kitchen towel, broken shelves in the bathroom, disgusting bathtub and shower - ski compartments with no working fans and heaters - i really don’t get how that property has passed the requirements for a 4 star location; after leaving I had to stop for a night in Geneva and stayed at a 3 star hotel that was far far more comfortable and clean, like no way to compare the two
