It was VERY clean. Quirky location with steam trains running in front of the front door. Very close to the old town area, with its beautiful buildings. The friendly owner met us and issued the guest cards. Very spacious apartment plus parking on site, albeit a tricky space to get into....long car! Good heating for our wet damp days. Well equipped kitchen with nice crockery and cookware. Very comfortable bed and very good WiFi. Tourist info leaflets.

As many others reported, we felt the same disappointing aspects as well. A shame they have not been put right as yet. It was impossible to have a shower without getting the floor very wet, and there was no non slip mat for the tiled floor. There were 5 windows with paper blinds, that looked out on to other peoples yard areas, so we didn't open them. The main window looked at the trains and the cycle track. Car approach down the one way street was tricky to get in and out of. The spaciousness was due to a lack of furniture. It felt empty and odd. There were 13sq m with nothing in it. Skimpy curtain across the wide window. The very small bar table was very difficult to eat on, as it wobbled and we couldnt have a drink on it as well. The high twirly chairs were difficult to get on and off. A proper dining table and chairs would be much more useful, in all that space! The lack of a second bedside unit and lamp was a big problem.... all my stuff was on the floor, and I used a torch. No side lighting in the lounge, which was overly bright. These problems are particularly important for older guests, we are 70+ I would have swept the floors, but the broom was unusable., as mentioned months ago.
