Frente al mar

Ernesto is a gentleman and myself and two tweens had a relaxing break. The views are amazing from the apartment, we especially enjoyed watching Mercury, Venus and Mars after sunset descending behind the mountainside. The apartment is very spacious, has air-conditioning and is clean. The washing machine was great and there was everything we needed to cook, although the restaurants a couple of minutes away were so good, we just had breakfast in the apartment. My kids loved the pizza & pasta in Amicis, and the Indian beside it is just fantastic. La Cala restaurant is across the road and is something special, and reasonable, right on the seafront. The pools at the apartment are only a minute away and open 11am to 9pm. Glass surround with sea views gave a very luxury hotel vibe. Sun loungers are a euro and you can reserve them for the day, head off and come back. There is an elevator that takes you from the pool area to the street which is a godsend as the hill is steep. This is a residential area, so a much quieter end of Benalmàdena, perfect for a relaxing break. The residents are very friendly. To get to Malaga in a taxi was €35 but there is a direct bus that's a cheaper option. There's a little snack bar onsite near the pool, you can get baguette to takeaway in the morning or sit and have a coffee, beer or cocktail. Be advised Sunday's are busy as there are family gatherings and you need to reserve a table, Julia the chef makes Paella for €4.50 pp all day on a Sunday. There are lovely little specials on during the week too. There's a big shopping centre 5 minutes away, they do same day delivery before 12pm for about 6 euro. There is beach access but the steps are steep, especially coming back up. The sand is like quicksand and very rocky and pulls you in so be careful and definitely wear swim shoes of you dare to brave it. I would stay in Frente al mar again without hesitation. Good private parking, beautiful scenery. Very good communication with the host. Great restaurant right at the apartament.

Very nice view, a lot of space. Very friendly owner. Good location. Close restaurants, and shops. Close to seeside. No problem with parking in condo.
