Cosy studio apartment

Great location, close to the city and a great suburb it is located in. Cheap, very competitive price. Security camera in operation 24/7, feeling safe. Great studio for solo traveller or couples.

Noisy: buses, cars… and someone was playing loud music after midnight.

Everything I needed was available in the little studio.

It was smaller than expected, but that's what cosy is.

Friendly, helpful host, Denis, gave us a good recommendation for dinner. He showed us all the facilities and turned the heating on as a cold gale force southerly was blowing. I can't comment on the views from the property as the weather was terrible, I believe there are nice elevated views looking east to the water when it's not raining! Very clean throughout. There were effective heaters in the main room and bathroom. Kitchenette was well appointed. The bed was comfortable, a little soft for me but support was good. We were able to park two cars on the property, luckily, as the street outside is hilly and winding.

I liked the apartment, it's not modern but had everything you would need for a short stay. This is not the place for anyone with mobility issues. The stairs to the apartment are outside, steep and a bit uneven. The driveway is not for a nervous driver either, being quite a drop. However we had no trouble turning a station wagon around at the bottom, so all went well. We would stay again.

Cheap, last minute selection (based mainly on location and previous reviews) to prepare for urgent flight next day to return to UK. Host was v welcoming and helpful.

Listing mentioned views (yes you can see the water when standing on the drive) and balcony (no view, wouldn't sit out there - just an entrance via steps up from driveway). Place feels a little dingy, had a sense of it needing an uplift... floor coverings are a mix of mats stuck to floor poorly, small rugs and hard areas - possibly tricky to keep clean? Sheets seemed old and bottom sheet had a few small holes, was very bobbly and thus an uncomfortable night. Furniture feels somewhat dated. Overall - sort of functional, and fit enough for a short last min overnight stay given the cost.
