Millie's place

There is lots to like about this apartment. It is nicely decorated with a well equipped kitchen and bathroom. It is in a fabulous location, in walking distance of Fort William railway station and high street and in driving distance of major, spectacular landmarks of the West Highlands. There is also a free parking space. George the host replied to all of our messages in a quick, friendly and helpful way.

We came as a family and needed both the bedroom bed and the sofabed. The bedroom bed is very comfy but the sofabed in the lounge not so much. In fairness we fell asleep very quickly both nights, probably on account of all the fresh air and surrounding scenery but the sofabed wasn’t comfy to get in to. Heating is controlled externally by the host. He was very helpful around adjusting it but ideally, guests could control it themselves as and when. The kitchen was very well equipped but I couldn’t find a coffee pot which would have been very useful. A towel rail by the wash basin in the bathroom would also be nifty as all the hooks and rails were very high up and I am pretty short :) Check out was a bit earlier than the other place we stayed in, especially for Good Friday while check in the day before was a bit later. We couldn’t get in to the apartment even to drop our bags off which would have been handy as we arrived in the morning via the sleeper train. Though the host was very communicative about this and offered suggestions for things we could do while waiting which would appeal to my little boy.

Compact cosy apartment

The property was very well equipped and very clean. Also in a great location! So - there were reviews about trying to find the place. Once you know what you are looking for it is easy to find. The Sat Nav will take you to a building that has a Lochaber Hope sign on the front lawn. That’s it - you are there. The flat is in this building. It is very easy once you know that. I repeat it is in the Lochaber Hope building. The door is on the road side. It is a red door. Easy! The parking is in the parking lot. The number is painted on second concrete pylon (a little hard to see).

There was nothing not to like about the property.

Location is perfect. The property was very comfortable and clean. The host answered all questions straight away any time. Loved the funky bathroom also!

Can't think of anything

The location was excellent as well as the decor of the house. We will definitely like to stay again when we visit Fort william in future.
