Well equipped comfortable and clean accommodation. So great to not be affected by load shedding. The hosts were lovely.

Well equipped unit, with a personal touch and a lot of extras, like fans, electric blankets and the best of all - solar! Kitchen has quality pots, gas stove top and enough of everything you will need. Nice outside braai area. Friendly host. There are a few stairs leading up to the unit and a stair or two to the rooms and down to the kitchen. This was not a problem for us and added to the charm, but could be a problem for anyone who cannot do stairs. I can highly recommend this apartment

Mrs. Champion was friendly. Beds were comfortable and the bed linen clean. The garden was well maintained and the car parking was secure.

We booked a three-bedroom apartment for the two of us, knowing that during our stay, our daughter and her partner would be visiting us for a few days, but initially we were given access to only two bedrooms and a bathroom with only a shower. It was only when our daughter arrived (for which we were charged an extra R1,000 for 5 nights – Mr. Champion alleged that the property was let on a per-person basis [although this was not made clear at the time of booking and, as we advised Mr. Champion, our booking confirmation states “Guest name:…/for 6 Adults…”] and initially wanted R500 per night!) that the third bedroom and the bathroom with both a bath and shower, were made available. Despite the booking confirmation stating “Payment before arrival is required” and “This property accepts…Visa, Mastercard…” Mr. Champion did not collect payment before we arrived and instead presented us with an invoice that stated “Card payment extra R800 card commission”. Fortunately, our daughter has a South African bank account and so, were able to pay by bank transfer, thereby avoiding that extra cost. The layout of the accommodation is not very ‘user friendly’ - the rooms are on different levels with various steps between. One pair of steps is potentially hazardous because the steps are unequal! The property is advertised as being for 6 adults, but there are only four chairs for the square terrace table, the bench table next to the braai seats only four and there are only four wine glasses! We stayed in August (winter) but there is no inside dining facility. The property had a high level of humidity and is laid out such that it was difficult to get airflow through it and so all our clothes and papers were permanently damp - both Bathrooms have mould growing on the ceiling. The property was not particularly clean and the insides of the under-counter Kitchen cabinets were dirty.
