Large Stylish Home with Spectacular Views Across City

My room was quiet, very comfortable and had lovely views of the bush surrounding the property. The shared bathroom facilities were very clean and I enjoyed a shower with the supplied body wash. The shared kitchen had plenty of cutlery and crockery for me to prepare continental breakfast each day. A helpful touch is the sensor light for the room- the kitchen is the entry point to the building, and night time check-ins are so much easier when one does not have to fumble for a light switch in an unfamiliar place! The little notices and the compendium of restaurants and attractions were very helpful and nicely presented.

The surroundings were lovely. This is a very unique property offering beautiful gardens and even a babbling brook running through the property. Lots of outdoor furniture to enjoy the peaceful surroundings with.

Great place, nothing more to add.

Self check in was easy, using the lockbox. The interior decor, kitchen, bathroom, lounge, bedroom was very clean and high quality. Other guests were courteous in sharing common spaces. Lounge was a comfortable private space. The surrounding garden was beautifully landscaped - the small running stream gave a ‘wild forest’ feel to the space.

A few suggestions. 1. Couldn’t get bathroom heater to ‘reset’ and turn on. 2. In the lounge, the ceiling lights were quite bright for relaxing - could use a dimmer switch to adjust lighting. 3. The kitchen has one small round table with 2 chairs - it rained while I there and outside tables were all wet - perhaps enclose the deck area (roll down blinds?) for additional eating space.

I enjoyed the peace and tranquillity of the location, the room that was provided had an excellent view, when I had left my jacket behind, I was informed about it within 20 minutes of my departure and the hosts provided an easy way for me to retrieve my property, that honesty was top grade service an I respected that so much as a first timer to Sherwood lodge. I will be recommending Sherwood lodge to all my friends.

Great spot. Room, bed and shower were all A+. Kitchen was pretty good, but not really equipped for serious cooking. Neighborhood is very nice. Hosts are super nice.

The sounds of the birds in the garden and stream coming down, I opened the curtains to sleep :)
