The Corner House - Modern Chesterfield Town Centre Apartments

The property was spacious and comfortable with plenty of wardrobe space. Having two toilets was an unexpected bonus. The bed and pillows were very comfy. The shower was excellent. Parking outside worked well. There was a bus stop not too far away so we could have caught a bus into the centre of town but we walked.

We both tripped on the small step going from the living room so it needs to be highlighted much more. We resorted to leaving our cool box there to remind us! The 'bath' towels were very small and thin. The bathroom got very steamed up so it could do with a decent extractor fan. I couldn't find any cleaning cloths or wet wipes - the drawers in the wardrobe were dusty so I used my own stuff to clean them.

2 en suite bedrooms with good shower. Quieter at night than expected from roads either side. Oven simple to use. Parking worked for us in small car with one behind but not sure how you'd manage with one in front as well given position of sign post. Owner very prompt to respond to queries before arrival.

3 TVs but none tuned to get BBC1 & no instructions for use. Picture broke up so much that Olympic opening unwatchable. Happy to do washing up but no cloth or tea towel so used cloth from car & small bathroom towel.

Spotlessly clean and well presented.

Couldn't get the air-conditioning to work

Couldn't get the air conditioner to work as it appeared to be locked. Found the apartment to be cold. Extra toilet was not working which was disappointing.

It was very clean and well presented, had everything we needed to stay for a few nights, the beds were comfy and the whole apartment was spacious, to top it off, it had its own parking space which was a huge bonus. Well worth the money.

The hallway light would flick on and off all the time, it was very irritating as you would be in bed at might and keep seeing the hallway light up.

Too many rules stuck on everywhere, it felt like a school 😂
