The Pennefather

cute little cottages just a few minutes stroll from a handful of cafes and bars, with parking on site. they were surprisingly spacious and well appointed inside, loved the comfy beds and nice quality linen. kitchenette convenient for breakfast, but I wouldn't fancy attempting dinner. plenty of hot water in the shower. thoroughly recommend a trip out to Cheerio Gardens for brunch or lunch and close to Cheerio the local brewery has a fun bar and beer garden

it was seriously cold inside on the first night, although there were plenty of blankets etc. and thoughtfully provided hot water bottles the second night we lit the log burner to warm the room before we retired but it was still chilly first thing. luckily we discovered the little fan heater! we loved it but be aware Haertensburg is pretty low key n the winter months, most of the eateries close by 4pm.

Great location, the photos match what is advertised, very quaint and pretty, clean, undercover parking, easy to find.

Struggled to get the fire started. It's hit or miss regarding the friendliness of the reception - it depends on who is working that day.

A comfortable base from which to explore Haernertsburg and surrounds, our room had everything we needed for our one night’s stay: a hot shower, comfortable beds and proximity to the delightful restaurants on the main drag. We walked to and from our eatery and felt safe.

Homely, refreshing and peace for the soul. Everybody is friendly and helpful. They attend to all the needs and always want to help and make the staying experience more special. The stay hear refresh your soul and body. Just come and enjoy for yourself

A Memorable Stay – Definitely a Do-Again! From the moment I received the friendly phone call checking on my arrival time, I knew this was going to be a special experience. The warm welcome and seamless check-in process immediately made me feel at home. The unit itself was spotless and thoughtfully equipped with everything I could possibly need – true attention to detail! It’s clear that the hosts go the extra mile to ensure comfort and convenience. I’m beyond grateful for such a wonderful stay. Pennefather Inn has definitely earned a spot on my “do-again” list!

The only small hiccup was that the fireplace created a bit of smoke inside the room. Luckily, I managed to sort it out quickly by opening the door and windows, so it didn’t take away from the overall lovely experience. Just something to keep in mind for next time – but it certainly wouldn’t stop me from coming back!
