Lovely location within the old town, very close to facilities but also not far from bus stops. Enjoyed the loft room, little bit quirky. great to have two shower rooms/toilets, unusual in a two bedroom place. Large table outside to enjoy eating out when the sun shone. Exceptionally helpful host. The pictures don't really do it justice.

It might be helpful for people to know that the stairs to the loft bedroom are steep, and the master bedroom is open plan (albeit up a flight of stairs) to the living area. It was perfect for our needs though.

The hospitality of Harry and Astrid was exceptional! Astrid provided airport transportion upon arrival and departure along with a ride to Amsterdam Central for us to meet an early tour. She also provided us with directions to get around the area including bus, train, metro and tram numbers. She was a life saver! Having Harry on site was a plus when the TV remote needed batteries! Apartment was very clean and convenient to town.

We loved the location and accessibility! It was perfect for our stay with our mom and a private place to relax at the end of our trip. The space was bright and uncluttered with comfortable and plentiful seating in the living area. The outdoor table was an added bonus and parking was easy. The old town/waterfront was an easy stroll, grocery as well. We would definitely return to delightful Monnickendam.

There were a few things that would make the place more functional, such as hooks and shelves. There isn't anywhere to unpack and the loft stairs are steep, so a longer stay would have been less practical for us.

Cozy flat, located in a calm and beautiful town. With quick access to Amsterdam. Friendly and relaxed owner. Defintely worth staying.

The hygiene and location.

Everything was up to my expectation, Harry, the owner met us on arrival, handed the key to us and provided quick introduction as to how we use the facilities within the accommodation. There was an information folder written in multiple languages covering everything including how to arrange for medical emergency service or getting a taxi. The accommodation was very clean and has everything we looked for. The village location was amazing.

It’s so pity there’s no range hood in the kitchen. It might be some smells we cooked there.
