Neva Apartments by the Beach

The apartment is only about 50m from the beach. The host, Nikos, was really friendly and helpful. He even offered us some homemade olive oil and raki for testing. The flat was huge, especially the living room (an excellent place if you have small kids). The kitchen is optimally equipped. The two bathrooms are a good advantage after the sandy pleasure on the beach. The bakery is only a few minutes' walk away. The minimarkets in the village are not to use (small and too expensive; look not only for prices but also for expiration dates!). A reliable supermarket is 2 km away. Two good restaurants are within 5 minutes' walk. The bedrooms could be larger, but it was OK for sleeping. If the bed was wide enough, this could be a place for a longer stay.

The bedroom air conditioning units are directed towards the beds, and you can not run them through the night without catching the flu. One unit on the balcony is also connected to the air conditioning from elsewhere, and it is also laudable if you switch off all air conditioning units in the flat. Be aware that the double bed is 140 cm wide only—the host claims that this is common in Greece. However, I stayed in several apartments on Crete during my stays there and have not yet seen the 140 cm double bed as a "normal one." There is no parking in front of the house, but finding a place along the seaside is not a problem. However, this could be an issue during the high season.

Nicos is a great host, very helpful, but also discrete. The flat has everything you need and it's right next to a long, beautiful beach. Makry Gialos itself is a great choice, less busy, then the rest of Crete, but with sufficient number of restaurants and shops, the beach is long and beautiful. Highly recommended.

The apartment was impressively large, offering plenty of room for our family to spread out and relax. Our kids had ample space to play, which made the stay especially enjoyable for them. The cleanliness of the apartment was impeccable, which made us feel comfortable and at ease from the moment we arrived. The furnishings were comfortable, adding to the overall sense of relaxation during our stay.

Great location, spacious 2 bedroom & bathroom apartment. Very clean & everything was comfortable & new A safe would be a fantastic addition.

Modern, spacy, design furnished and perfectly equipped apartment very close to the beach and also not far away from the city centry of Makry Gialos with restaurants and everything. Great host Nikos, his wife and others tried to make our stay unforgettable.

The apartment was spectacular,everything you need and moore.Nicos an his wife are wonderfull,very friedndly and helpfull,from giving advises about the sights to baking us the best cake. The near beach is great,but if you want to see some spectalular beaches just drive 10 min by the coast.It was the perfect holiday for relaxing.

We stayed at the two bedroom apartment Very spacious, spotless clean, two large bathrooms ,lovely decoration, extremely close to a kids friendly beach (less than 30seconds) There was DISNEY+ available. This was extremely convenient for us and our movie nights with the kids. You will find toiletries , cooking utensils , air conditioning in each room and a cute terrace to relax at the back Really nice and welcoming owners .... In the fridge there was a gift box full of sweet treats and a bottle of raki. Ενα ομορφο σπιτι ,σε ενα ομορφο μερος Ευχαριστουμε.
