Borgo Stalle Residence

Excellent location with a beautiful view of the mountains as our accommodation was facing the front so we have lovely warm sunshine in the afternoon/early evening to watch the sunset over the mountains in the distance. Our agency contact Mary was extremely helpful and thoughtful. Also, we were able to check in online before arrival which is a great time saver. Our apartment had a kitchen however, we walked across the road each morning for breakfast at Chez Dam which has lovely pastries, especially at the weekend. It is also situated next to one of the restaurants, Osteria Le Stalle, which I wouldn't recommend. It's not a traditional Osteria, more a place that is trying to be radical chic and better suited to a city, not a mountain town. It only offers miniscule portions that just aren't worth the price and certainly won't fill you up after a day’s hiking or skiing. We ate there once and went to order a take away pizza afterwards! Our apartment was perfect for what needed it for. Nice bathroom, plenty of storage and a nice kitchen. It's also an easy walk around to the main street area of Prato Nevoso where we enjoyed a beer in the late afternoon sun and later ate at Baby Lunch.

There was some construction work happening around us which was a bit noisey at times and they did work early Saturday morning. Obviously it needed to be done which is fine and as we were out most of the day it wasn't an issue. I would certainly stay there again .

The location is amazing - ski in & out. Supermarket, restaurants & bar very close by. Good powerful shower and nice views from south/west facing balcony.

The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have every slept in - I literally had about 2 hours sleep a night - spoilt the holiday for me - shame as it wouldn’t cost the owner much to put a new comfortable mattress in. I would return but only if the bed had a new mattress.
