Nicole Rooms

Lovely modern comfortable clean apartment with 2 balconies in a quiet area, the owner Eleni & her husband made us feel welcome. There was a view to the sandy beach between the buildings in front & views to the mountains while the side balcony looked at the church & fort. The balconies were ideal for meals with a table for 2 while it was only a few minutes to the sandy beach.

2 flights of stairs to our top apartment kept us fit but safe & not a problem.

I called at the reception office ("information" on the sign) and was shown to my room and given my key. Great. The room was small but had everything you need - comfortable double bed, wardrobe, bedside cabinets, air conditioning, shower room and balcony with table and seats. There was a kettle and cutlery and crockery in a small cupboard and fridge/freezer. Everything was very clean. The rooms are located right in the centre of Paleochora so are very handy for everything. No dedicated parking but there are plenty of spaces on the lane outside or close by on the streets. No problem. The main beach of the village is just at the end of the lane so a two minute walk. It was also surprising how quiet the location was despite being in the village centre.

I didn't need anything but was a bit strange. There is a car repair garage immediately behind the rooms which might disturb you if you like sleeping late but it was not a problem when I was there and I don't get up before 0900h. The "side view of the sea" was extremely limited (between two buildings) but the tower of the fort loomed over the building with its flag flapping in the wind which I like and the view over to roofs of the village is not bad. You might find it a bit difficult to locate when you arrive but just head for the Third Eye restaurant and it is immediately behind.

Eleni and her husband were nice and friendly. The room was ok and the location was excellent. Asterias eatery was recommended and met all our expectations. Zephyros bar excellent in the evening. The breakfast at the Palm Tree was massive. The whole town was very beautiful.

Everything was very good but the price was a little more than we expected, if we had gone direct rather than via Booking.com we may have bargained a better dealt but are on holidays so all was good.

We couldn’t get the air con to work, perhaps because it’s an optional extra?

Great location, couple of minutes walk from the town centre and main beach. Had everything we needed at a reasonable price. Nicole is a friendly and helpful host.

The beds are extremely soft , and even thou it's great for a nap and be lazy on , my back ended up hurting in the morning . But that's not the hotels fault , that's me having the spine equivalent of a wet noddle :') Great visit otherwise!!!

Mosquitoes, the „mountain view“ and the „sea view“ … last both are more like a rethorical thing. yes you can see the mountains … somehow, and yes between two buildings there is a small gap where you can see the ocean.

Beautiful and authentic house, in a great location. We stayed in a small room and were very satisfied. The owner offered a larger room upstairs, but we didn't take it as we spent all our time on a thick sand beach, which is less than a minute walk. Great low-key restaurants as well, which we prefer a lot more than busy main streets full of tourists restaurants.
