We really liked this apartments. It was really clean in the center of Tbilisi.

When we arrived, two guys met us at the original address…with bad news. They told us that the apartment we booked was suddenly unavailable and took us to a different property down the street. Shady. The new apartment was totally different from the luxurious flat shown in the pictures. The beds were uncomfortable, the living room was small and dark, and the sofas were worn out and falling apart. The kitchen was missing essential items, and the bathroom was very small. There was no room service during the 5 days we stayed. They asked for cash at check-in and said they would send a payment confirmation document later, but we never received it. About 30 minutes after they left, I received a notification from Booking.com saying that our booking had been canceled. I immediately messaged the owners on WhatsApp asking for the payment confirmation, but they never responded. My parents and I were extremely anxious and could not sleep all night. During check-in, one of the men sent me the WiFi password on WhatsApp. I realized it came from the same WhatsApp chat as a previous apartment we had booked on the same street called “The Grand Apartment”. That’s when everything started to make sense. Please read below for their full web of lies. What Happened Before This Stay One month before our trip, we had originally booked a different luxury apartment on the same street called “The Grand Apartment” at 17 Pavle Ingorovka Street. The owners contacted us every few days to confirm we were still coming to Georgia. After confirming multiple times over the month, these same two guys suddenly canceled our booking just 2 days before check-in. They sent a voice-note on WhatsApp claiming that “the government had taken over the property due to unpaid loans” and said they were very sorry. However, a few days later, I saw that “The Grand Apartment” was available for booking again. The way everything was handled felt very calculated and misleading. I hope future guests are very careful.
