IDEA Studio Thessaloniki Self Check-in

The studio is easy to find and I had excellent instructions on obtaining the keys from the lock box. The apartment was clean and comfortable, the kitchen well-equipped and the air conditioning worked very well (I visited at a time when the city was cold and had to use this to heat the apartment at times), plus the washing machine was a welcome bonus. I arrived by car (parking wasn't easy, but achievable just a couple of streets away) but the apartment is well-served by public transport, although the city can be explored from here on foot (if you like walking); there are numerous shops, bars, cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance.

The "balcony" listed is actually the kitchen area, so enclosed, and this is very cold in winter, especially at night (it is, however, separated from the main apartment by double-glazed patio doors and a thick curtain). On each night of my stay, I was kept awake until 3am by live music (I don't know if this was a performance or a band rehearsal, but the genre and band were different each night) which started around 10am - I have no idea where this was coming from (it wasn't, I have to say, particularly loud but it was too much to ignore). On one evening, I returned to find that the lock on the front door wasn't operative (I'm guessing that the tumblers inside had fallen out of alignment) and I was locked out for more than an hour before the handyman arrived, then had to wait before I could leave the building for new keys to be supplied. This could, of course, happen anywhere and I don't expect it to be an issue for future guests.

We enjoyed our stay there. The location was 3 min away from a bus station that takes you to the city center and is placed in a quiet safe area, close to shops, coffee shops and restaurants.. It was clean and it had a good quality-price ratio. The communication with the owner was good and the instructions to get in the buiding and room were easy. to follow.

There was a bit of smell from the bathroom at times but it sometimes happens in older buildings, nothing too serious.

The place is clean and nice. The communication is great and quick. The location is nice, difficult to park in front of the place but you can park nearby. I would reccommend.
