Relaxing Retreats at Cocobay Apartments

The house is clean, the facilities are complete, and the host is very friendly. Even though the beach is quite distant and we still need to drive but the location is very good.

The beach is quite a distance for family to walk.

the inside apartment overall is very nice. clean and comfy. the host provides all the necessities required and is very helpful and responsive.

visit two large pools at different blocks. the pools are not well maintained and quite dirty and found some faulty drain covers nearby the pool. most of the apartments are vacant and give scary vibes when traveling with children. the 'security' management is not friendly and not very helpful. stayed for several nights there and met with some 'suspicious? weird?' parties that do not look like staying there but they sit around secluded/parking areas and watch us. the instructions given by the host contradicted the security and left us confused. there are back gates that should provide medium walking distance to the nearby beach, but the gate is locked all the time. thus, we have to drive to the beach which defeats the purpose of choosing the apartment to easily go to the beach.

The apartment is very big and has everything you need. Firdaus was so friendly to give him his personal broadband so we had wifi. Because we are Dutch we wouldn't have any internet otherwise. The apartment is also really close to 2 nice beaches. One is just a 200m walk and was pretty quiet. The other one was a 15 minute walk, which was fine. More people, restaurants and activities there. The pool at the apartment is also very nice. And the fact that Firdaus provided drinking water was super.

We are used to a bit more comfort. The towels had stains on them, the airco in the living room was sticky and dirty so we didn't dare to put it on. The bed was not that comfortable as we are used to. And the whole apartment complex looks a bit old and like its had it's best time a lot of years ago (except for the pool, that one looks great)
