Finlaystone Family Barn

I lived in Langbank for 34 years and had never been to Finlaystone. Shame on me !!! Barn was very comfortable. Well appointed with crockery/cutlery etc. Coffee shop was lovely, when open and kitchen, bathroom and shower were as good as anywhere.. Best little oven I have ever used. Quick and hot. If I could have got it in my suitcase, I would have taken it. Good tv and the surroundings were very nice and rustic. Especially the bull at the door one morning. Best of all. The staff. They were just so nice. A pleasure to have met them.

Wifi and fone reception were awful. Had to go outside for a signal. Wifi kept cutting out. Too much jungle about for good reception. Access roads are a bit bumpy. You're in the country. Get on with it.

Extra bed wasn't made up.

The location was very good

Felt that parts of the site would benefit from investment

Amazing location! Lovely holiday home, all you need is in there. Make sure you understand that there is one bedroom and one "room" that can be closed off with a curtain

The floor was not so clean

Great location, large kitchen and dining space

Very uncomfortable bed, when the mattress was lifted up there was a large wooden board half covering the bed slats which then caused the mattress to tilt The shower was really poor, barely any power and the head kept falling down WiFi was poor and the instructions to reset weren't accurate Missing the small touches like a welcome pack with things to do in area and blankets

The surroundings were beautiful so picturesque. Was center to everything we wanted.

Unfortunately the double bed had a slope on the l left and felt like you were falling off unless you moved more to the right.

The location of the family barn was excellent for kids, plenty of walks and things to do and see.
