Loch Ness Abbey Cottages

Excellent location right on the shore of Loch Ness and the banks of the Caledonian Canal. Amazing history. Stunning views. Great facilities. The kids loved the swimming pool and games room. Sadly, no guarantee of finding Nessie. The staff were amazing and very helpful.

Fort Augustus doesn’t have much to do other than Loch Ness and walks. So, if you’re looking for restaurants or pubs to enjoy as well, you’ll need to look elsewhere. However, it’s well worth the self catering and relaxing time you’ll have at the facilities.

The location was good for us.

The cottage was so worn out, wifi was not available, showerhead was broken. Though they changed the showerhead, i feel this should not have been the case at all. It was old and felt dirty and had way too many directions and rules for staying and checking in. Check out was also way too early at 10am.

Beautiful setting in the grounds of the Abbey. Lovely size cottage and well equipped kitchen for our needs. The two bathrooms were good. Lovely decor. Fernando was really helpful and it was good to get a tour of the facilities in the Abbey before showing you to your accommodation. Nice swimming 🏊‍♂️ pool and sauna, unfortunately the steam room wasn’t working when we were there. Fort Augustus was right on your doorstep and this is a lovely place.

Some of the doors didn’t stay closed which was a problem as we had a dog with us. Nothing else. Everything else was great.

We all liked the space , its decor , it was warm and cozy . Bedrooms had everything we needed, bathrooms were spacious and everything we needed. Space outside was huge and we really enjoyed our time there .

Great location, clean and well cared for.

Personally, I think it was a bit cheeky to be charged a £30 cash late check in fee (for after 9pm) when the cottage we were staying in had a lockbox which could have been utilized. If we’d come past 11pm it would have been raised to £75 cash. Also, given the cost, I wouldn’t expect to have to take our rubbish out, you’d think it would be included in the cost of cleaning.

nice airy bedrooms and bathrooms and lovely towels for swimming , great facilities and games room. Stunning grounds with ducks and bunny rabbits and nature. . Mark the host made our trip with a lovely tour. Really nice and helpful host.

The living room seats very uncomfortable to chill any longer then 5 mins. They looked lovely. Maybe a small safety bar to get out of bath.
