Great apartment in a wonderful character building.

Amazing unique place to stay, extremely well renovated while still keeping so much of the original Abbey. It's a must. The apartment was absolutely huge!! Pictures don't do it justice. Stayed in The classrooms.

Location and history

Fabulous location, property and staff. We traveled with our two school-aged children and this well-appointed apartment was absolutely perfect. Very convenient to the major sights in the Highlands. And the historic abbey is unforgettable.

The location of the building was lovely.

But the way the interior conversion resulted in 3 different room levels was disjointed. Top level bedroom was pokey and unappealing. Disappointed also that although we had huge windows, there was no view - again because of the floor level of the interior.

The location and appearance of the Abbey was excellent. The rooms themselves were very modern and luxurious. Cooking and washing facilities excellent and having two bathrooms kept the family happy.

The loft style bedroom can be inconvenient if the family has late sleepers in there while the early risers are having breakfast. The "open" aspect means the bedroom overlooks the kitchen. Be aware but don't let it put you off. Some of the owners clutter deprives renters of some cupboard space, again not a show stopper but could be better.
