This property is very unique and interesting. The apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable. The grounds were beautiful. Walkable to downtown Fort Augusts and abbey is located on Loch Ness.

Second bedroom was really a loft over the kitchen, not an entirely separate room. It would have been nice if the pool hours were more open and didn't need to be scheduled - the scheduling system made it less convenient to access.

The original property and abbey are beautiful. The location at the base of Loch Ness is special, though there’s not much going on or available in the adjacent town of Fort Augustus. Some of the shared facilities are very nice - the pool (for which you need a booking!?), the games room, the giant chess and the outdoor kids playing area.

The apartment was strange, an unsympathetic renovation, large but very pokey, it was however clean and with the inclusions listed. The check in process is challenging and convoluted. I’ve never had so much repetitive paperwork to read to check into an apartment or hotel. Zero follow up on a specific issue we experienced. Very disappointing is the on-site restaurant - The Boathouse - despite being in a glorious location it was the worst food we’ve ever had at very expensive prices. Definitely not befitting this property. Try the Bothy pub in town instead.

I was told that tea, coffee, milk & shortbread would be waiting when we arrived but there was no milk or shortbread.
