The Oldbrook Garden Flat

Lovely flat , decorated impeccably with all the home comforts including great WiFi and a fab outdoor space. Emily was a super responsive host and getting access to the flat was easy with the lock box. Bed was a dream! Also a bonus to have a Lidl a 2 minute walk away and to be able to walk to the train station in under 20 minutes. Really helpful you can park right in front of the flat. I'd definitely stay again

The neighbourhood wasn't the best although didn't experience any issues and felt safe enough walking in the day time on my own.

Found both the bed and the sofa bed (sofa) uncomfortable - struggled with the springs causing pain.

The location is excellent - a big Lidl is only 2 mins walk away and there are several takeaways/restaurants a similar distance away. The flat was very clean and well-stocked inside; the hosts had thoughtfully left a pint of milk in the fridge; and towels, flannels and bedding were all provided. The linen was very comfortable and the mattress pretty good. The host answered any questions very promptly and clearly via Booking.com. You can park a car right outside the front door.

Minor niggles: 1) There were loads of instructions/rules all over the place, which made me feel a bit like I was at school. Most properties I've stayed at simply provide a folder you can consult if you have a question about the property or local area. 2) A somewhat sinister warning on one wall that said "we will be made aware immediately if [flat] rules are broken." Perhaps rephrase this to something more like, "Any known violations may result in additional charges"?

The facilities were good and the stock of coffee, tea etc was very helpful.

It was no fault of the property but the supermarket that was very close to the property was closed. Its proximity to the flat was one of the things that made me book it.

This flat was well positioned with everything that we needed to get settled in. Clean and nicely kept apartment close to the town centre and yet quiet.

Cannot think of anything that we were unhappy about.
