Agriturismo Le Capanne

Beautifully set on a mountain slope with gorgeous views of the valley. The apartment was really clean and spacious, very good value for money. We only stayed for one night but if we were staying a bit longer would probably want an extra bedroom for the kids, they slept on the sofa. We loved the little black dog who came to say hi several times.

It was cheap and the surroundings were beautiful.

Unfortunately, they lied about having 2 bedrooms. The room actually had only one bedroom. When we asked about this, first they told us they had given our apartment to someone else (which is wrong anyway, but it was not true, since the pictures showed exactly our apartment), then they told us they did not have any 2 bedroom apartments. Also, the beds are uncomfortable and the apartment did not have enough equipment any even the toilet paper was not enough for one night.

The place was very nice and clean. Loved the dog Gianni who came to greet us. The only issue was the driveway which is so steep that our car almost couldn't get up.

Everything was great from the beginning to the end of our stay. Location of the Agriturismo Le Capanne at the very end of San Dalmazio is very relaxing (quietness) and convenient for commuting to San Gimignano, Volterra, Pomarance, Siena, etc. We were greeted by the host's parents who live next door and showed us all of the apartment. Apartment was spacious and clean, kitchen was fully equipped (pans, pots, crockery, cutlery, Moka pots, coffee machine, etc.) and washing machine is located on the other side of the building in a utility room. Rooms are very spacious too and there's plenty of wardrobes and other furniture to store clothes and make one stay comfortable. Pool is big and cleaned daily with easy access; four sun lounges, four tables and circa eight chairs; there's a shower next to the pool as well. Hosts are very friendly and helpful and answer all questions without delay. The area is beautiful, San Dalmazio has several restaurant, but there's plenty of small towns/villages nearby that one can drive to and do all necessary shopping. Will recommend all the time, anytime of the year!

Can't really complain about anything as our stay was very nice and pleasant. Just few small bits to make the stay even better: 1. No air con - we have had a heatwave during whole week of our stay and temperatures oscillated between 36-40 degrees everyday. Despite locking all windows and external wooden shutters, inside of the apartment was very hot and proved very difficult to sleep at night. 2. Just for convenience an addition of a microwave would be nice. 3. Wi-Fi signal is weak but we have had our own router with an external sim card slot so we weren't really bothered. However, if you don't have one with you, you will struggle.

We loved the site, the location, our hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. The apartment looked like the one in the pictures, we got everything we neeed. Great and clean pool. We ordered a special Italian meal provided by our hosts - it was fantastic! The 3 apartments are separate so we didn't disturb each oher and there was enough room in the garden around the pool and in the water.

Wifi was a bit poor and slow.

The view was amazing. The pool was nice and the host was kind.

It was hard reaching there (long narrow road). We arrived at night and took time finding the exact location. The WIFI didn't work.

we couldn’t find the rug in the bad room but the conversation didn’t went well as we didn’t speak Italian and the lady didn’t speak English. However, the overall experience was very good
