Cozy apartment near the city centre

The welcome drinks were appreciated! The flat was clean and tidy, as optimized as possible given the space.

The shower was quite narrow and the ceiling quite low (not too convenient for tall people).

This was a great apartment for our stay in Heraklion. It is very compact but the space has been used very smartly and it has a lot of excellent facilities for its size - we really appreciated the washing machine, laundry powder and drying rack! The apartment was comfortable with effective air conditioning and a good bed. The bedroom requires climbing a ladder to access and has very low ceilings, but this was all adequately photographed in the advertisement so you knew what you were signing up for. The hosts were very helpful - meeting us in person to provide the key and easily contactable via the booking.com app to answer questions about the local area. There was also a bottle of raki and some cookies waiting for us on arrival which was a sweet touch. It was also a good location for exploring the waterfront and old town and had plenty of shops nearby. A really great, affordable and comfortable stay - thank you!

Not possible for the hosts to improve upon, but if you're tall please note that the ceiling in the bedroom attic space is very low! My partner cracked the top of his head very hard against the ceiling on getting up the first morning. The lack of ventilation/exhaust fan in the bathroom was also not ideal, but probably very difficult to retrofit.

The proximity to the port, the seashore as well as markets was definitely a highlight of this proprety. Everything we needed for a 3-nights stay was in the apartment and the owner was super helpful with anything we needed their help with!
