Gorgona Apt

I liked the more traditional feel about the property; the statues and figures outside were also really nice. The property is bigger than it actually looks on the photos and there’s plenty of space and is absolutely beautifully decorated. It’s like being at home, there’s an area for storage, clothes, shoes, and anything else you’ll need to store. The bedroom has nice windows on both sides of the room, as well as air conditioning. There’s everything you’ll need, like an ironing board, beach towels and a washing machine for example. The streets are quite and the neighbours aren’t loud, it’s very nice and feels safe too.

It’s not really a fault of the property but I’d recommend renting a car as it’s hard to commute to for example further beaches or other cities. Although you can rent a bike to go to the shops and nearby places. It is quite difficult to ride a bike or walk in 30+ degree C heat.

We have a very comfortable stay here, Iannis gave us all the information we needed. I would come back again. Thank you.

the staff was absolutely nice

The apartment is located on the first floor of the house. It is in a very quiet area and yet close to Heraklion and the airport. The apartment consists of a bedroom, large terrace, kitchenette and bathroom. Bedroom and kitchen are separated by a smaller terrace. The bedroom has a large wardrobe, TV, the bed is large and comfortable, A / C. The apartment has a fridge, small stove, washing machine and a very comfortable bathroom. A beautiful and large terrace is the best part of the apartment. The owners live on the ground floor of the house, and they are probably the nicest people we met during this year's holiday. They are both extremely helpful, they check every day if we need anything, offered local alcohol, fruit from their own tree and even olive oil. There are some very good tavernas, bars, supermarkets in the nearest village. The beach is about 2 km from the apartment.

The only problem is the very steep stairs leading to the apartment, but I know from talking to the owners that they plan to replace the stairs this year. Some may be disturbed by the proximity of the highway and the sound of cars but for us it was not a problem.
