Madres Houses

Kleines, aber originell geschnittenes, nett eingerichtetes, renoviertes, ruhiges und gemütliches Appartement etwas abseits des großen Trubels nahe den Altstadtgassen von Mykonos-Stadt mit Betten auf unterschiedlichen Ebenen, was die Kinder sehr geliebt haben. Schöner Blick aufs Meer in Richtung Westen von der geräumigen Terrasse aus, auf der wir zu fünft gefrühstückt und zu Abend gegessen haben, die wir also gerne genutzt haben. Kleines, aber komfortables Bad. Sogar das Kochen von Spaghetti hat auf den Elektroplatten funktioniert. Trotz ruhiger Lage in einer Seitengasse am Hang super nah zum (alten!) Hafen, zu den Boutiquen, Geschäften und Restaurants im Zentrum.

Der Weg vom und zum Busbahnhof zieht sich etwas; auch keine nah gelegenen Parkmöglichkeiten vor Ort, sondern nur fußläufig erreichbar (mit Rollkoffern etwas anstrengend). In direkter Nähe des Quartiers gibt es auch keinen Supermarkt, und wenn dann nur eher kleine und sehr teure Lebensmittelgeschäfte. Für Selbstversorger-Familien ist das also hinsichtlich der Logistik etwas schwierig.

The apartment was very comfortable with a lovely balcony, and a short walk down to the waterfront and many restaurants. Our host was very attentive, including booking a taxi to the airport for us. We would be happy to stay again if we get back to Mykonos.

Un espacio muy limpio, con techos altos y muy acojedor. La cocina estaba muy bien equipada, con utensilios para cocinar y comer. La localización es perfecta, una calle tranquila en pleno centro de Mykonos. La dueña muy amable en todo momento, con ganas de ayudar frente cuanquier duda.

Beautiful apartment, in a great location! Equipped with everything you need. Beds were very comfortable. The balcony was amazing!

The steps were quite hard to navigate with suitcases but this is understandable given the location and amazing view!

We were able to get an early check in by an hour which was lovely. The room was clean, and beds were comfy. Location was easy to find and in a beautiful part of the town. Great view near the top of the hill.

No. 8 is a very small place with a very low headspace loft for the double bed. If youre not good with small spaces, I would not recommend this place. There was no microwave, which wouldve been great to heat up leftover souvlaki. Unfortunately you cannot drink the tap water here, or flush toilet paper down. Something to consider if you like creature comforts. We could also hear the neighbours in the rooms owned by madres house throughout the night. Also, be sure to really check the photos of the room you booked as there are multiple which it could be!
