Central Milton Keynes hub one bedroom secured apartment

The location was great, close to several restaurants and only a 20 min walk to the train station.

The instructions to actually get the keys for the apartment and then get into it were abysmal. After arriving late at night, the instructions to walk 'down the little path to the side to get to the key lockbox' were totally incorrect. We did walk down said path, to find it was completely cordoned off due to ongoing construction work - which the owner will have been aware of. We had to then guess and try different ways to find the lockbox which was actually located under the apartment building to the rear at the underground car park entrance! We looked at a video previously sent by the owner on how to get to the lockbox - but this was coming by car from a different road. We were previously told we could park at the property, but the seller had then allocated a parking space 10 mins walk away so we hadn't even seen the road in the video. We eventually found a way down to the car park entrance by walking out to the main road and past another 2 large buildings then going all the way around them to the rear, which is when we finally saw the car park entrance. After a long day of travelling, to be then having to drag our luggage around searching, was really stressful to say the least. At last, we had the keys (and a separate fob), but then had to drag our luggage all the way back to the main entrance of the building. We then repeatedly tried the fob to enter the building as instructed, to no avail. We were stuck outside trying for some time and thankfully someone came to enter the building themselves and said it was a small plastic plain circle on the separate key which lets you in - no mention of this in the instructions, just said to use the fob. The thin plastic circle thing just looked like a keyring. We entered the hallway to then find that BOTH lifts were out of service! So, it was then a journey of around 5 or 6 flights of stairs for us with our luggage.

Nice apartment with facilities such as fridge, washing machine, microwave and kettle.

The back door to the balcony was faulty so wouldn’t close properly and had to put a table there for safety reasons due to having a toddler. Found dirty towel in the drawer. I was told Netflix was included but it wasn’t working at all, even after asking multiple times, it still wasn’t fixed. Sofa bed was very uncomfortable.

The location of the key (lockbox) was extremely confusing. We were also confused about the lock system. We felt like the host could have done a much better job of explaining where the lock box is and how the code for the door works. Furthermore, there were no fans of air conditioning, and it was actually quite hot inside the apartment.

The instructions on access were clear.
