Steep road up to property but you can’t have those amazing views without climbing up a hill.

We had spent a few nights in Funchal but wanted to experience life away from a Madeiran city. Vivenda Linda Vista was perfect for what we required. The village of Porta da Cruz has some fantastic restaurants and bars to experience local life. I must especially mention Pipas and the Bakery. The staff in Pipas are constantly on the go - probably the best serving staff that I have come across anywhere and yet constantly friendly. Try the Poncha at both Pipas and the Rum Distillery - exceptional! Easy access to the main road to Funchal, North and beyond - just take your time driving top see the sights!

There is a hard walk up the hill but as this is Madeira, it is to be expected! The locals must be exceptionally fit.
