"Ideal Tuscany escape at Castello di Montauto"

As a family of four adults, we had a really enjoyable stay at Agriturismo Castello di Montauto. We found it was the perfect location to be based to drive and visit other towns in Tuscany. Siena, Florence and Montalcino were all within an easy 1-1.5 hours drive. After the day's sightseeing in these other towns, we could return to the apartment and relax by the pool overlooking the glorious countryside, or pop in to San Gimignano (a short drive away) for a drink, dinner, gelato or to buy some food for dinner at the local supermarket. The full kitchen was very well equipped including a coffee maker/pods and all the equipment you'd need to cook dinner/lunch/breakfast. The property was spotless and the pool/pool area was kept looking perfect. Finally, the accommodation's representative was extremely helpful and informative and especially when we needed help with an important item left behind in the room.

The view from the apartment and outside is breathtaking and was fun to wake up to every morning. Apartment was comfortable and specious. comfortable beds and shower. Corinna was very friendly and helpful.

For an even more perfect stay- a bit more variety in the kitchen will be helpful for cooking- oil and spices, good knives.

If i had to say something, it must be the mosquitos. They are very toxic. Next time we will bring mosquito spray :-)

The most beautiful location, beautifully furnished in traditional style, immaculately clean. The owner was there to meet us and nothing was too much trouble.

It’s a historic property, that was originally founded in the 900s actually, it has been restored to an agritouismo that is gorgeous.. Where you stay is part of the old farmers homes that tended to the vineyards around the property.. Corinna is a gem - so helpful with restaurants, grocery shopping locations- we have a full kitchen including oven, and we had a private garden overlooking the vineyards that we began the morning with coffee and ended our evenings with a cocktail/ wine so so nice

The narrow roads leading to the property that are throughout Tuscany. A bit intimidating in our rental car but quickly acclimated
