Sea View Apartments

This has to be my worst experience when travelling anywhere in the world, I booked this on the reviews I had read on booking .com On arriving, we were met by a lovely lady downstairs who is very friendly and a tenant on the ground floor. The carpets were very dirty in the apartment. I checked the bedrooms to find that the bedding I was using also dirty, and I refused to sleep in them. I had to just lay on top and shower as soon as I got up. Checking the other room, there was a quilt covered in sick in the wardrobe. My brother had copd and had to rest in the living room.as the smell was over welming, the cooker was full of grease and burnt on food as was the pans they had seen better days. Rotting food inside one pan The fridge was dirty and not cleaned. I could not cook a meal and end up eating out. Today, on departure, I stripped the bed to ensure they changed the bedding for the next guest and found fiece on the mattress cover which made me sick to think I had to lay on the top being a palliative care nurse I was shock that this was allowed to happen cross contamination from body fluids is extremely bad. And very dangerous. So please be warned ⚠️ the view was amazing. However, there was a bird poo on every window outside.not a priority to cleaning by the crew obviously nether was the cleaning in preparation for guests arriving.Broken lamp in the bedroom now I know why it's say no refundable all photos have been taken as proof as far as I know the owners in London so not checking the work done by thus chosen cleaner but that's just my opinion. The defendant is not worth the £319 paid to stay here over the weekend visiting my family. I have contacted the owner by message outline the issue as yet I got no response

Location was great and living room was big. Lady that lived in the ground floor flat was lovely and offered help with anything. Rooms were clean overall.

Alarm going off all night and tried multiple times to contact the owner but heard nothing back. Ruined our last night stay. Lots of stuff in the kitchen cupboards but not all of it clean or useful. Top floor flat, so quite a few sets of stairs, which wasn’t clearly advertised and instructions to get in the property weren’t amazing clear.

Could do with a bit of a refresh

Spacious, pleasant apartment with a beautiful view in a superb location. Quiet, but very convenient for parks, top beaches, funfair, restaurants, nightspots, with both the Tyneside Metro and local buses departing from an interchange a short walk away. Small shopping centre is supplemented by a market on Saturdays, and both are near the interchange. On street parking, but no problem finding a convenient space during our stay.

The apartment isn't suitable for those with limited mobility. Not only does it occupy the top floor of a large historic house, accessed only by stairs, but the front door is accessed via two short flights of steps with one more at the door.

This was great value for money and the location was amazing would defiantly stay here again the park for the kids and dog is a stones through over the road. The flat was clean and tidy and had everything we needed thanks very much.

Lovely spacious apartment with stunning views! Jenny who greeted us was absolutely wonderful and so helpful No issues parking, plenty to do and see close by

Nothing, tiny issue with the kettle not staying on but didn’t ruin anything

The location was excellent, size of apartment and view, kitchen very well equiped

The tenant in the apartment below smoked constantly on his balcony/ window- which rose and spoilt any experience sitting on the balcony outside, especially with a 6 month old baby. i complained to booking. com but my complaint was ignored. The en suite bathroom smelt of drains from the beginning of our weeks stay - this was also ignored- eventually the kitchen sink blocked and we were told a plumber would fix this but this did not transpire- very difficult to manage with a baby. Communication with booking. com was abysmal, and sadly what could have been a lovely stay was disappointing and not worth the price paid
