Excellent House, with everything you need. The fireplace was wonderful, as was the sauna.

The appartment is super beautiful and located in the middle of nature with a great view to the forest and mount Ylläs. In the morning, the sun shines right into the living room and you can watch the crystal clear air sparking in the light. At afternoon, sun is still on the large terrace. It is very modern, nicely and warmly decorated and has a lot of equipment! For example, for cooking you already have spices, salt, sugar and cling film/plastic wrap. Definitely try the sauna.

If you plan to visit Äkäslompolo each day, you should come by car. The sleds are a nice help, but it still takes 20-25 minutes (each way) into the village center. A water cooker would be a nice adding to the flat :) Some instructions were a little bit hard to understand, but the landlords were always helpful in figuring it out for us. We were not able to get the fireplace to work, I think it had too much air inflow - so if you plan to use it, maybe try putting the air inflow regulator not to "maximum".

For sure we will book this great house again when we will come back for vacation here in Äkäslompolo again.
