Luxury Ocean View Beachfront 2 bed apartment -206 The Waves, Blouberg, Cape Town

The view, location, easy and pleasant check in. It's a nice size apartment, it just needs some maintenance done

A few things were broken, like a standing lamp, a bedside lamp, sliding door didn't lock, lighting in kitchen was poor. Bulb fused in the bathroom and dstv did not work. The tap in the 2nd bathroom fell off when opening it to wash hands. I enquired about toilet paper and was told its self catering and not a hotel. All the other self catering places we have been to in SA supply 2 or more toilet rolls.

There were amazing views, safe building, the apartment was lovely and clean

The DSTV didn’t work continuously while we were there. It kept cutting. It would be great if there was an option to connect to Netflix or YouTube as at night we can’t really sit on the balcony so it would be great to have that option

So spacious, loved it. Perfect for travelling friends

The place is immaculate with wonderful sea views. Really awesome aprtment with everthing you need for the stay!! There was even a heater which came in very handy. The host, Blessing, is exceptionally helpful and friendly! Would definitely visit again.

The lighting (especially in the kitchen area) should be improved. Unfortunately, we went to visit Cape Town during one of the worst weather weeks (storms). With the heavy rains, the roof in the lounge started to leak. Blessing was informed.

I've liked the washing machine and dishwasher in the apartment

They didn't change the towels with clean, fresh ones every day.

The unit was dirty and had a very bad vomit smell especially in the kitchen and second bedroom , many things did not work such as lights . The kitchen has a single light which focuses on the center island , that should not be a problem unless you try use the kitchen at night ! The fridge lights was broken ,so was the extractor light . The fridge beeps loudly every time you have loadshedding until you click the silence button ( was woken up many times during the night to turn it off .) The kettle is all rusted on the inside would not drink out of it . Many spots that are either high up or very low have not been cleaned . I reported all these problems however only some got resolved .
