Apartamentos herederos Lm

It was the second time I stayed in one of these apartments. They are clean and well equipped. They are also quiet. You don't have anyone above you making noise (though you might hear the next door neighbours a little bit sometimes). Also you can see part of the sea when sitting in front of the door (at least with some of the apartments - see foto) and the highest hill of the island. There is a gas stove to cook, which is pretty nice. A few seconds walk to the east shore of the island to see the sun rise. Less then five minutes walk to the little beach where the locals use their sailing boats. You can also swim there.

The wifi is very weak every now and again, so that it even goes away completely. In general it is rather weak. A sieve in the sink is missing but would be good.

I liked the quiet and remoteness. It was so calm that I really relaxed extremely quickly. It was also really good that despite the remote unspoilt nature of the location one could get internet and good Wifi to connect with the world!

I would have liked a kettle, toaster and microwave in the property as it was difficult to get the water really boiling to make tea, using just a saucepan and without a toaster one could not have toast! A few more cushions would have made the place more comfortable.

The apartment is spacious, clean and quiet, beds comfortable, there are basic utensils in the kitchen, plus refrigerator and gas stove. Location is great in terms of views (volcanoes and beach), as it is one of the last houses in the village, but it also means it is a bit far from the shops, restaurants and best beaches - the walks are very enjoyable, but can drag on a bit when returning from, e.g. Playa Francesa or Playa Cocina in the evening. The Wi-Fi is OK, although the upload speed varies a lot and can be very slow. Claudia, the host, met us on arrival at the port and drove us back to the port on departure - a much appreciated help considering that the streets in Caleta del Sebo are not paved. Walking barefoot across the sand-covered streets is great - dragging your suitcase is not.

For the price charged, one would expect to find at least the ordinary soap in the bathroom. To make matters worse, there was no soap to be bought in the local shop either, so we had to use our shampoo to wash hands or to shower. Finding at least salt, oil and vinegar in the kitchen is also something you would expect in this type of accommodation.

The island was beautiful and relaxing. Claudia the host was excellent and very kind.
