Casa Luz - Arco da Calheta

NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL! 1. great adventure (hard to describe, you really need to experience it longer than 1 night). 2. better than in zoo (we have seen plenty of animals both dead & alive - ants, lizard, cats, cockroach, millipede) 3. electricity and water went well (heating was dramatically different matter) 4. not all our food was destroyed by ants (what was in the fridge, stayed ok) 5. rooms are realy spacious

1. no internet (they say it works in two rooms, but the quality is like in my grandma's basement) 2. no washing machine (I wish you discover this before all your clothes is wet and from detergent) 3. in December it really is good to have a chance to ale it warm (and moisturized woods without slivers really does not help) 4. smell (it used to be probably agricultural part of the house and for some reason it is not only visible, but it can be smelled as well) 5. very limited amount of warm water (like seriously?) 6. safety (this is really not the place where you leave any valuables, door locker (French window "door") is kind of symbolic) To make the story short, price/quality ratio is just tragic and definitely do not stay more than 1 night. For 1 night it can be quite ok as they clean everything (including all the insect) for new guests.

Excellent people and the apartment. The host is very nice and supportive.
