Bell Tower Old Town with AC

Fantastic location, close to restaurants, beach, Old town center, etc.

It may be called Bell Tower, but it’s in the basement. Great to have a washing machine, but it was moldy inside and needed to be cleaned before we could use it. Communication was not clear regarding getting the key and gaining access to the apartment. Eventually, I was able to find internet somewhere so I could retrieve the host’s phone number and call him. Once I did that, he came and everything was ok.

This review is for an alternative property to the Bell Tower. There was a plumbing issue in the building where the Bell Tower apartment is located so (not in the apartment itself), so the host Santiago arranged alternative accommodation for us. The alternative apartment was new and well kitted out, but located on the opposite side of the river from the old town. Whilst not in the old town as booked, it was only a relatively short walk away and of superior quality. Santiago met us and took us to the new apartment and looked after us well, giving plenty of information on things to do and places to eat. San Sebastian is a very pretty place, blessed with good weather during our visit. Old town and sea front particularly pleasant to walk-around.

This apartment was spacious and comfortable and in a superb location. It supplied everything needed for a short stay, including a bottle of red wine and beer and soft drinks in the fridge. Just walk out the front door and you are immediately ensconced in the ambiance of the old town, with the bell tower ringing. Santiago, the owner, went out of his way at all times. We appreciated his efforts to retrieve a parcel that we had sent to this forwarding address. It was successful and arrived just before we left San Sebastián.

We sorted our own breakfast but you have all facilities such as full fridge, cooker etc

Could do with air conditioning as it is in a basement but it is a fantastic location with great facilities overall.
