The location was great. The unit was clean

There was an overwhelming smell of damp throughout the apartment. My interaction with the host online was very unpleasant. I was basically threatened to cancel with no refund offered. As a single women staying in an apartment, arriving in the evening, I was not very comfortable. The check-in was also quite laborious. I was told to pay a deposit of R2000 (almost 50% of the value of my stay) and then notified that my refund would only be processed 10 days after check-out. After check-in I did feel a lot more comfortable and the host eventually offered to forgo the deposit.

Thank you to the host Deon for his friendliness and for being very accommodating. Very comfortable and spacious accommodation with all the facilities needed for a holiday stay and the area was peaceful and quiet. Will definitely book the apartment again if available.

The building is currently being renovated so entrance to the parking was difficult at times though not too inconvenient as other parking was made available and the host did give prior notice of the renovations and repairs to the lift. Unfortunately we cant always control what occupants of neighboring apartments do....the smell of weed being smoked on one of the balconies in the evenings was a bit overwhelming.

No one collected keys. Left them in the apartment like I was asked on WhatsApp. So not happy why I should pay a fee for leaving earlier than 8am. Doesn't make sense.

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding my recent stay at your establishment. The only problem I experienced was the unexpected additional charges that were communicated only after the booking had already been made. I was informed that if a guest arrives late, or wishes to leave earlier than 08:00 in the morning, a fee of R350 would be required. This policy caused significant inconvenience, as I had to wait until 08:00 for someone to arrive, despite being more than 1,000 km away from my home. My intention was to leave at 05:00 in order to reach home before dark. I personally contacted the responsible person via WhatsApp the previous day, before 09:00, yet by 15:00 I had still not received any reply. As a result, we had to contact your client services department, who eventually advised that we could leave the key inside the apartment and simply close the door behind us, as it would lock automatically. This is the first time I have ever encountered such a policy of charging guests simply to depart earlier, and I find it both unreasonable and highly inconvenient. I trust that you will review this policy and ensure greater transparency for future guests. Yours faithfully,

I liked the location. It is very near to all amenities and the beach. The apartment is nice overall.

I didn't like the fact that we stayed there for 3 weeks and there was no clean bedding and towel change for the duration of our stay and only one cleaning done after 2 weeks of staying there. The decorative pillows on the couch were quite smelly it actually stank and also the extra blankets we could not use because it smelled mouldy and had grass all over it.I would advise them to steam clean their couch and the chairs because it doesn't smell nice.
