Location

Very expensive for a weekend

The apartment is located very close to the sea and the pier with all its attractions. Also you have pubs and cafés just meters away. It was super comfortable, great in size and had all the services you could need.

Maybe the beds were a bit too mushy, so, if you prefer a firm mattress, this could be a small issue. The door connecting the hallway to the living room closes on its own and it's impossible to keep it open. Again, just a very minor inconvenience.

Perfect location, spacious, well equipped, comfortable beds.

The entrance downstairs was quite dirty with bird poo, the shower was hard to get to the right temperature.

It was in a great area and clean and newly decorated.

There was difficulty in access initially, wrong code. No instructions! We had to endure a freezing cold house for 24 hours as no indication where boiler was. In a bedroom cupboard we didn’t use. The accessible shower room was cold as the towel rail leaked and we had to turn it off. The stairs to kitchen was treacherous and unlawful without a hand rail as very steep and shallow steps. Other staircase not much better and narrow landing with no protection from falling down stairs inadvertently. Very small lounge and uncomfortable sofas without arms.

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had in my time using booking.com, we booked in January for a stay in April and everything was booked and paid well in advance, to then, the day before we travel down be told that the 2 apartments we had booked were no longer available. We were ensured we had another suitable replacement though so traveled down, we don’t get any info on the address of the new apartment or how to enter it and they weren’t answering our calls. We were then eventually told it wasn’t available either and they could only source a 1 bedroom apartment for 10 people including a 11 month old, a 3 year old and 3 elderly people. We had now nowhere to stay and were in the middle of Brighton with all our baggage etc. we then had to pay for a hotel which cost us 600+ more. It was absolutely terrible and shameful from the agency and certainly would never recommend.
