Everything was perfect. We were welcomed with open arms, given snacks and drinks, nice quiet and very clean premises. Will definitely go back for a 3rd time soon.

The outside area of the property is really lovely. There’s a beautiful tree in the front and a charming fireplace that made for some stunning photos. When we returned from the rugby in the afternoon, we noticed that our mats and the area around the fireplace had been cleaned, which was a nice touch. We also had a pleasant conversation with the owner’s husband—he was very friendly and welcoming. The presence of horses and dogs on the property added such a sweet and homely feel. Unfortunately, we didn’t have much time to fully explore the outdoor space, but from what we saw, it was peaceful and picturesque.

We were very disappointed with our stay. Upon arrival when we started unpacking, we noticed that the cups and fridge were dirty, and the bedding had visible hair and stains. When we politely asked the person in charge whether the bedding had been cleaned, her reaction was unexpectedly aggressive. We remained calm and explained that we weren’t trying to be rude, just wanted clarity—but instead of offering a solution, she raised her voice, stormed off, and later returned to say she could give us a refund. This happened late at night, during a very busy weekend in the city due to the rugby, so finding new accommodation would’ve been nearly impossible. We didn’t feel that our request warranted such hostility, especially considering we were paying guests. The room itself was very cold at night, and the small heater provided didn’t make much of a difference. The unit also needs serious maintenance. Many of the items are old, and we found ourselves being overly cautious to avoid breaking anything. We truly believe this situation could have been handled with far more professionalism and basic hospitality. A little understanding and a clean set of bedding would’ve made all the difference.
