Modern Mount apartment in top location

This is the second year we have stayed at this location. We love it as it meets all of our needs and the Grandchildren absolutely love the roof pool too. It is incredibly comfortable, clean and close to the shops and beaches.

The location was excellent, with close proximity to the beach and restaurants, and the building exterior, main pool, and secure parking were good.

Our stay at Modern Mount Apartment was disappointing, especially given the premium price of $535 per night. Despite the property being advertised with key amenities such as a BBQ, outdoor dining, and a hot tub, none of these were available. This resulted in significant inconvenience, as we had purchased food specifically for barbecuing. The “outdoor dining” was simply a few chairs and a small coffee table, which was not suitable for meals. The supposed “spa” was merely a small heated kiddie pool. Additionally, the cleanliness and maintenance of the apartment were below standard. The oven and roasting pan were dirty, food scraps were left in the dishwasher, and there were issues with the showers—one showerhead detached while in use, another leaked heavily, and mold was present. The bed in one of the bedrooms was uncomfortable, with a hard bulge in the middle. There was also noticeable dust buildup and general wear and tear throughout the unit. On the positive side, the location was excellent, with close proximity to the beach and restaurants, and the building exterior, main pool, and secure parking were good. However, the lack of advertised amenities, the poor cleanliness, and the unresponsive customer service made for a frustrating experience. When we raised these concerns, the response from management was disappointing. We were only offered a 10% discount on a future stay during off-peak or shoulder seasons—an unsatisfactory resolution considering the misleading advertising and the issues we encountered. I would not stay here again unless significant improvements were made to ensure the listing accurately reflects what is provided, and the property is maintained to a higher standard.

Communication with the host and instructions on how to access the property were very good,

It was clean, near to the beach and shops, easily accessible, the pool was amazing warm and very pleasant and clean.

Would have appreciated a small milk to arrive to for a cuppa as the shops were closed when we arrived. The tv was a bit tricky to work out. A young person ran across the artificial grass level while someone was in the bathroom! Not ideal.

Central location with good parking. Lovely apartment with each bedroom having their own bathroom. Great pool and spa.
