Stavroula Studios

One of the most amazing apartments I've ever been in. It's the best when you're not only looking forward to leave the hotel to experience what Corfu has to offer, but also when you're looking forward to go back to your hotel to relax and recharge your energy. We also felt extremely safe and welcomed. If I ever come back to Corfu, this will definitely be number 1 on my list. The owner is also very kind and welcoming, and was available on WhatsApp during the whole stay.

We thought we would have swimming pool and that the extra bed was a bit small.

Everything. The whole stay and property is amazing. Everything is new and modern and you have everything you need for a perfect stay. The apartment is very comfortable, well set out and well stocked for cooking etc., you do not need to leave at all if you didn’t want to. The private pool is perfect and comes with two comfy sun-beds and a good umbrella - the actual pool and area outside is cleaned each morning. We were allowed an early check in and check out is not until 12.30 which is amazing and so unheard of - it meant we got an extra whole morning lounging in the sun in our favourite spot. The location is super quiet and tucked away from the main town meaning that there is no noise during the day or evening. The apartment has nothing above or next to it so it is silent in the night and no noise from neighbours etc Owners were really friendly and helpful We would come back in a heartbeat and would recommend booking this so you don’t miss out

We were told the room would be cleaned daily but only cleaned twice during our 5 day stay - this wasn’t too much of an issue apart from the bins filling up, especially the bathroom as the no toilet paper flushing rule in the country. At times the hosts didn’t respond on booking.com and we had to call (not sure if there was an issue here as they said they had responded) - when we did call they were amazing and very helpful as mentioned above WiFi wasn’t the best but everything else made up for it. Hairdryer only blows cold air Personal preference as we spent a lot of time in the apartment in the evening etc - Netflix or a smart TV would be an added bonus

Myself and my sister stayed at Stavroula Studios room 6 for 5 nights and had a brilliant time. The location is perfect, only 5 minute walk to the sandy beach and restaurants, and very close to a supermarket as well. The studio looked better in person than in the photos and had absolutely everything we needed; great air conditioning, very comfortable beds, free WiFi, powerful shower, toilet paper and soap provided, small well-equipped kitchenette, umbrella and towels for the beach, and a peaceful balcony which caught the afternoon sun. The lovely cleaner came every day and did an excellent job, the studio was always spotless after she came. The host was also very friendly and responsive. I think the price of the studio was very reasonable and good value. Overall we had a wonderful, peaceful and relaxing stay and I would highly recommend staying at Stavroula Studios!

The only negative was that the building is located a couple minutes walk up a steep hill, but is absolutely fine if you are of average fitness.

Clean, spacious, modern, good facilities, private jacuzzi. Cleanliness by the cleaner was exceptional. Lovely sea views from the kitchen window and balcony.

The studios are situated on a steep hill, which we found quite strenuous walking back to it specially in the 38 degree heat. Would not be suitable for anyone with walking difficulties or with a disability.

The cats wandering around the property were awesome

The property is in the average price range for Paleokastritsa. I don’t usually write reviews but noticed that others described the same or similar issues to us in their reviews (written after we had already booked) so thought this could be helpful for fellow travellers. Room not as described on booking.com For the same room we could choose the option “2 single beds,1 large double bed” or “2 single beds, 1 sofa bed”. The room was supposed to host up to 3 people. When we arrived the room was much smaller than 30sq mt (this is because the host included the balcony in the description) and there was only 1 bed with barely any space to walk. The shower did not work properly (hot water would not stop running) they send someone who, after wrestling with the taps for 5 minutes, told us to just “turn the taps” to switch off the water ( we had tried for 20 minutes) . The shower kept leaking for all of our stay. Draining system is poor and the bathroom would turn into the Titanic after each shower. We checked out early on day 4- our only mistake was not to do that on day 2. We tried to explain all above to the host, who was very rude (as mentioned in other reviews) and also tried to convince us that the comma in the description “2 single beds,1 large double bed” meant “or” and that we could choose between 2 beds and a double bed - which is not the case as the choice according to the description on booking.com was between sofa bed and double bed (with the two single bed being present in each description). The host did offer to upgrade us, but we were so stressed out after 4 nights at Stavroula studios that decided to go for a better place (which we luckily found, in Sidari) The studios are listed here as a 3 stars but it’s actually a 2 stars accommodation. The host was supposed to give us instructions some weeks before travelling but didn’t, we had to prompt them.
