Great looking property but inside decor a bit tired

We noticed that the mattress was a bit stained and the bedding didn’t feel crisp and clean and dirty under the bed

Kitchen was well equipped. Bedroom and living room were spacious. Good value for money. Location is truly excellent in my opinion, and I enjoyed the dining options a few blocks northwest and corner market to the east.

I was surprised by the absence of soap and shampoo for the shower. The hosts are kind and amazing, and say to ask if you need anything—but this doesn't work when something unexpected comes up at an unsociable early hour. It would be better if standard amenities were provided, I've never encountered this issue before and wasn't prepared. The more privacy conscious may want to know that the shower is separated from toilet/bedroom by the kitchen—one must pass in front of a window with no curtains and line-of-sight to the upstairs next-door neighbors to transit between shower and dressing mirror/toilet/etc. This separated bathing arrangement may also make things awkward for two or more unrelated persons travelling together, depending on cultural preferences (futon in living room can act as a second private bed though). Shower room is quite tight. Cell phone reception in the interior is limited (this is a basement flat, but beautifully renovated, well-lit, and spacious). Provided blankets weren't quite warm enough for the season; The place warms up, but if you're getting in at 9-10PM in the winter, it might not warm up before bed time. I went to sleep with gloves/scarf/outerwear the first night. I made sure to warm things up well in advance on later days and it was very comfortable. There is also a second set of blankets (which I didn't find the first day), but I'd be in a pickle were I relying on these for a second person sleeping on the futon.

The wifi in the apartment was very bad. I think the Wifi was coming from the host's residence upstairs, so maybe the host could consider putting in a dedicated wifi router in the downstairs flat for better reception

Lovely apartment in a quiet location. Just a short walk into town to all the activity. Very near the train station - just a few minutes walk - albeit up a bit of a hill.

Exactly as described… great facilities… everything we needed. Very clean and well presented. The floor plan was great as we knew exactly how the property is laid out- no nasty surprises!

Not a criticism but be clear about the parking situation before you book; there are driveways to rent very close by, otherwise you’ll be on a carpark some walk from the property. The train station is very close by.

Fantastic location as it’s incredibly central, Nicky is a very approachable and helpful host and made sure everything was right and offered flexibility around check in/check out. The place is very clean, has modern fittings and is simplistically decorated to a high standard, all amenities/utilities you can think of are available. A really enjoyable and comfortable stay over New Year!

One minor issue we found was that the Wifi didn’t have the best connection at times.
