Location is perfect right in the heart of Orta. The view of the lake and mountains is outstanding. Little kitchen is very helpful when staying longer. Although grab groceries before coming into town as there seems to only be very small market for things. Loved that there was a washing machine too. Hang dry clothes only. There is a parking garage off site (a short walk)which was helpful.

Twice while walking up and down the stairs the “timed lights” turned off. Very dark when that happened. Luckily I had noticed the light switches near the doors and was able to feel for the switch. This would not be a good location for anyone with lots of luggage and difficulty with stairs. No elevator. This apt is on the top floor. I also was surprised that there was no smoke detector. Given the amount of electric appliances powered by extension cords, this was disconcerting. So at least having a smoke alarm would take the ease off my mind.

Stefano was the perfect host. He met us at the parking place and helped us with our luggage. The views were of the Isola and the town square. The town itself was full of nice people and good food.

The location, the view!!! Unbeatable. Very affordable price. Lovely and very helpful attention from owner. Smoothless arrival and directions.

Everything was splendid

This is an enchanting apartment. It is in a five-star location on the waterfront in the main piazza in Orta San Julio. It was simply and elegantly furnished but with everything you need for a holiday stay and a very short walk to restaurants, shops and the ferry terminal. Stefano couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful, carrying our luggage from the gated car parking space to the apartment. And the view of the lake was absolutely magical and will stay in the memory for years to come.

Well, it is on the third floor- but that’s why you have that magical view which is more than worth the stairs.

The location was beyond our deepest dreams. We knew the apartment was adjacent to the lake but to have it so close that you could - if it's the kind of thing you do - drop a fishing line into Lago d'Orta from your bedroom window, was beyond expectations. The apartment we booked was the apartment we received and everything was very comfortable. All utensils necessary had been thought of and we were able to have an occasional meal "in" using the local market and gourmet deli providores. Stefano was a genial host and accommodated any request we made of him, though this was rarely necessary as the apartment looked after itself. Brilliant location overlooking the lake and Piazza Mario Motta, the action hub of Orta San Giulio. The ferry service to the lake was also just beneath our window so easy access without waiting was another bonus. Location was stunning. Right on the square in the middle of everything. Lots of people watching out one window, and gorgeous views of the island out the others. Chose this flat if you like to be in touch with the action. Things did quiet down a bit after your groups departed.

The location and setting is perfect being right on the water front with stellar views across the lake. The apartment is well equipped and quite spacious. The plumbing and heating work well. Parking is secure and under cover. Stefano is a very gracious and helpful host.

The internet is weak and the TV had only one functioning channel.
