Casa Aurora #2: Private room in excellent location

It was very secure so we felt safe staying there. We looooved the neighbourhood! Lots of families and kids so very friendly. And easy to get to any location in the city. Really liked the honey shampoo in the shower and being able to sit out in the patio area. The air conditioning in the bedroom saved us the first few nights, we were not used to the heat. I mostly took videos of the area so not really any photos to post.

The bed wasn't super soft. Everything else was good. 🙂

Nothing. It was dirty and creepy. Then others started staying in the United too - that was never advertised. I.necer would have booked a shared unit. It was awful in every way!!!

Everything. Especially trying yo speak with the owner, she resides in Europe and is quite unpleasant to talk too.

Nothing was pleasant about this rental. Luckily the landlord lives overseas and is quite rude & dismissive of her tenants inquires, requests, etc. She was very obvious about being upset that she has to take 2 minutes out of her life, one she must believe is fabulous compared to people desperate enough to pay money to stY in her hum down, insecure, unclean mess of a living facility which in reality has virtually nothing to do with the unrealistic ad she placed on what used to be a decent site. Now I think they should actually screen their clients or the website will be bankrupt within the year. I am now staying 3 blocks away in a 6 story condo which has modern a/c units on the wall of this 2 bedroom 2 full bath unit that gas a lovely deck with a tab& chairs plus this place is fully furnished and stop led with everything one might need while staying here and it is $5 more a night then a run down & dirty room with gross linens in their private rooms and very old used, and many items even broken and nonfunctionable kitchen items - which are found when the person arrives and learns that kitchen m (items in it plus a shared fridge with a note to new tenants that is obviously attempting to be threatening towards the people who wake other's items from the fridge- which made the impression to me that these situations must happen frequently so I didn't use the fridge at all as.i didn't want my items at risk at the facility I prepaid for. I thought I had virtually no options but ironically wen the landlord proved.how I'll advised it is to have her in that position that the options here are many and most every one of the m are better options than this garbage... My advice is go online and start calling every one you can. I rented this room in a condo for a month, despite the fact that I am leaving in 2 weeks and will release this place back to them, because it is still cheaper than renting a hotel on the beach!!

Unclean , counters looked wiped down but there was still a huge amount of visible in the shower & in the flooring crevices throughout the home. The linens on the beds were very old and all had holes &/or rips - same with the curtains throughout . I was given 1 pillow that was small and uncomfortable to lie on & the other was almost like a round pillow. It was both pleasant gross at the same time because of the large tears in it. I will not return!

The kitchen

The location was very Central and the place had a kitchen to use. It had air condition and TV which was also a bonus.

The mattress was too soft for me and somehow I felt itchy. Not sure why. The air conditioning was too noisy to sleep with but it worked. There was lots of dog barking at night which was a bit annoying.

Stayed for 5 nights to compete in PV marathon. Had the place to myself which surprised me as it was close to the start of the race. Although I managed to finish the race I was very ill most of my stay so spent a lot of time in the room. It's a nice little place with an exceptionally clean, well equipped kitchen. The outside space was a bonus. The room and bed are comfortable and again impeccably clean. Plenty of hot water and the WiFi is very good. Towels provided which I didn't expect. Contrary to other reviews I had no issues finding it. Netflix was another bonus, especially as I was unwell. It's "street food" heaven with many stalls directly outside the building. Unfortunately I was too ill to try them. There is a small shop on the street for basics but also a pharmacy/minimarket slightly up the main road, no more than 400m from the apartment. I will try to stay here again next year if I re-enter as my time this year was pathetic. 😆

The room was too small, only 9 feet by 9 feet. The location was poor, as the only thing close was Walmart. The food vendors near by was the only plus.
