Casa Curtos

We received such a warm welcome from our lovely kind Italian hosts Gianni and Carla at Casa Curtos. The accommodation is the sweetest little stone house set in their beautiful walled garden, full of succulent plants and cacti. The little house has a lovely comfy bed, hot shower and we were served a delicious breakfast on our little garden terrace. This included delicious bread and jam made by Gianni's own fair hands. They also organised our riding trip to the top of El Quemado mountain for us. Easy parking at the hotel across the street for a small fee. Highly recommend staying here!

Giovanni and Carla are the sweetest hosts they speak Italian and Spanish and as they say, “bad English very well.”

It’s a mild hike up the hill but nearly every hotel in Catorce requires a hike up a hill.

This is one of my most favourite places in all of Mexico! It was a beautiful little paradise - a private unit with a beautiful patio / garden and the kindest and most helpful hosts! Breakfast was incredible (home cooked!!), location was the best you could ask for, and the unit was just perfect - so well decorated and designed. My wonderful hosts were so kind and welcoming and very knowledgable. I felt so looked after and couldn’t recommend this place enough! I did a horse riding trip with Maurice (the hosts have his contact details) and it was just me and him in the mountains. He is one of the kindest, calmest and most respectful Mexican men I have met. I highly recommend contacting him if you want a tour or a horse riding trip.

It was perfect - no faults at all

The location is excellent, the room is beautiful and comfortable, but the best thing about the stay was the friendliness and helpfulness of the hosts. They had recommendations and directions for everything I wanted to do and and informed me about things I hadn't known about that I ended up doing.

There is a brief steep hill to get to the property. That's just how the town is and it wasn't a problem for me, but might be for others.

The room was spacious and well set up with everything you may need to cook a simple meal yourself. The owners were very helpful with tips, maps, and suggestions of what to do. The included breakfast was delicious! They also provided us with fresh fruit and biscuits every day. The garden is nicely decorated, inviting for relaxation. Internet was good. Being the only room to rent, the space is quiet.

The hosts were such warm and lovely people !! I will never forget the beautiful healthy homemade breakfast - wow ! The presentation was gorgeous with fresh flowers & even a lit candle . GRACIAS (from a former accountant to 2 others !)

Maybe some better signage to locate it. My GPS wasn't able to be totally accurate on the location and wouldn't find the street ?

Location, hosts were so lovely and kind! The house itself is charming and cozy and the breakfast was delicious (homemade jam!)
