Villa Aura

I found the host waiting outside for us!

The sofa bed is not so comfortable and the intermet connection was not very stable but the propert owner said it was a temporary issue wit the service provider. Other than that, kitchen is usable with everything one needs, perhaps cooking/vegetable oil coild be added.

The owner Lucca was super kind and helpful. We stayed for 4 nights. Free and safe parking in the courtyard of the villa is a great advantage; the place is an excellent starting point to visit Herculaneum, Pompei and Vesuvio by your own car; a very large terrace with a view of Vesuvio is an additional plus. The apartment is quiet, clean and has good air conditioning. The local residents of Torre del Greco were super friendly and always ready to help. We would definitely stay here again.

Luca was a friendly and helpful host. The apartment was bright and spacious and super clean. Although on a busy road the apartment itself was very quiet. Just 10 minutes’ walk to the station Villa delle Ginestre which is on the Circumvesuviana line so gives easy access to Naples, Herculaneum and Pompeii. Check train times before you travel though as although they are reasonably frequent, the timings seem fairly random! Secure parking on site was a great bonus for us.

Our host Luca was exceptional! He gave us a warm welcome and made us feel very comfortable. He gave us information we needed for a tour to Vesuvio and Napoli. Whenever we had a question, he responded asap. At our departure he surprised us with a small gift, that will remind us of Napoli. The apartments are very clean, with a large terrace and a private garden where we could pick lemons. A big plus is the private parking. I highly recommend it. Translate on the go with Deep

Everything was great

This is related to the apartment on the first floor, left, with a large terrace 3 rooms: Entrance / kitchen, bedroom, bathroom with shower Fine for 2, could be really difficult with more people Available power plugs are as follows: 1 in the entrance 10A/16A, 1 for the oven 10A/16A, 1 in the bathroom 10A, 1 on each side of the bed in the bedroom 10A, all according to Italian standard (CEI 23-50) Automatic circuit breaker with a card which will switch off everything but refrigerator and water boiler Roller blinds in the bedroom ensuring complete darkness which is absolutely great in the morning Very nice garden on the back, with a gorgeous view to mount Vesuvio (ask Luca if you can take lemons/oranges although be careful with Fred's p** on the grass, Fred is the dog) Electric water boiler 50 liters, save water, you will use much more water in winter than in summer, will be difficult for people with a western way of life, just fine by standards in India for example WiFi with 60 to 120 Mbps (which is very good for the location) depending on the time of the day Dedicated space for your car in the courtyard away from the road (most other offers are stating a car park which is NOT a dedicated car park or just on the street/road, here you will get a dedicated, closed car park which is absolutely great considering the region) AC device in the entrance/kitchen and in the bedroom (in February, it took more than 6 hours to go from +14°C to +19°C, full speed, in the bedroom) Luca was kind enough to arrange a gorgeous breakfast (with omelet) at Liguoro - Moulin Blanc, via Nazionale 564, closed on Mondays, the best pasticceria in the area, ask for Andreina, she is so nice

Retrospectively, location was not that great as on Via Nazionale (which should be renamed Via Incubo) with very very very bad traffic most of the time so that you will lose plenty of time (look at the map, there is no decent alternative due to local roads settings) No microwave oven (too bad, a basic model is ca. 50€) 1 power plug on each side of the bed, you have to choose between light or phone charging, not both, unless you have a multi socket adapter In winter, your towels will remain wet as the circuit breaker will switch off AC when leaving the premises As all constructions in the region, this is a poorly insulated apartment i.e. you will need AC in summer to cool down and in winter to warm up, and the heat/freshness does not stay, a considerable waste of energy

Everything was absolutely perfect!

Villa Aura is located in the center of the city of Torre del Greco and has a huge, beautiful garden, with paths that wind through palm trees and trees loaded with lemons or grapefruit. It is an oasis of peace and beauty. Vesuvius can be admired from the terrace of the apartment. The rooms are spacious enough, the bed comfortable, the kitchen equipped with everything you need. A great advantage is the parking space in the inner courtyard, which is secured with electric doors. Another advantage is that it is located between Naples and Amalfi, so it is a good starting point for them, but also for Pompeii or Ercolano. Luca is a wonderful host, friendly, hospitable and willing to help us when needed. He waited for us to give us the keys, then we communicated on whatsapp. My husband and I travel a lot, so we can say that Villa Aura is one of the most beautiful places we have stayed.

The electric sockets are Italian style, so we had to buy an adapter to charge the laptop. This is not about Villa Aura, but about Italian sockets.
