Il Papavero - Montefioralle Apartment

Our flight was very late yet Matteo waited for us to greet us and show us to and around the apartment. Location is in a very pretty little hamlet just outside of Greve. Spacious apartment and spotless. Facilities generally excellent- one small point, a mirror would be good ( other than the one above the bathroom sink). We didn’t really bother with the breakfast as it was cereal and biscuits which isn’t our breakfast preference. There’s a lovely little cafe across from the apartment and plenty in Greve anyway plus goof facilities if you wanted to self- cater.

Breakfast was basic but nice. Plenty of food.

Excellent communication, very helpful host. An old genuine building in the heart of an old village - very authentic, a once in a lifetime experience for us.

Located inside a former castle, tastefully renovated to modern day comfort. Well equipped full kitchen. Stone quiet reprieve from the hustle of Firenze. Welcoming host , pleasant to converse with.

The spring style mattress support may be a bit soft for some visitors. We were lucky to have a space in the upper parking lot but parking in the lower lot would be a challenge for those with a larger suitcase. Recommend bringing a small overnight bag in case.

Such a beautiful little village. A photo moment at every turn. Staying in a 1000 year old castle made it extra special. Matteo was a warm and generous host and we would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area.
