MB APARTMAN TARA

MB Apartman Tara is in an apartment complex in Kaludjerske Bare. A small but immaculately presented and well designed studio apartment on the ground floor, ideal for the two of us, with the parking space immediately in front. The bathroom has a heated towel rail and as well as the usual hair/shower gel there was moisturiser and cotton buds. Although we arrived much later than expected due to a long cross border queue, we kept the management up to date via the booking app and were greeted warmly when we were met and given the key. When we arrived at the weekend the whole area was buzzing but during the week we felt we had the entire complex to ourselves. Everything was available to cook our own meals and there are a couple of mini markets where we picked up bread and eggs - although we went to a larger supermarket in Bajina Basta to get a wider range of supplies. We were able to use card everywhere, even for the park day pass fees (300SRD) and the one local shop we went to. Others have mentioned the restaurant across the road but as vegetarians the menu didn’t suit us, but it was no surprise.

Just to mention to readers but, of course, no reflection on the property, most of the off road tracks are very rocky and full of potholes. We actually turned back on a couple tracks when we realised it would mean another 20km of uncomfortable driving - and google maps seemed to always send us on a more scenic route of unmade roads. I’d have loved to have had an ordnance survey map but we didn’t find anywhere locally to help.

Location is perfect in the heart of kaludjerske bare.
