Located in the heart of Montecatini Alto with less than a minute walk to the center of the town, this apartment was perfect for us and our family! It has great location, amenities, character, and charm. - The apartment has great A/C in both the living room and the bedroom. - Parking available in gated garage, just remember the ZLT times (no entering between 7pm and 6am). This was not an issue for us, and if you aren’t home by 7pm, there’s free street parking available just a couple of minutes walk away. - nice bed, decent kitchen (no dedicated oven, only microwave / oven combo), good shower and toilet. - living room is spacious and the dinner table easily sits four people. - WiFi -pack and play is available for a child to sleep on -high chair was super convenient and most restaurants in the village have them which was also super nice Location-wise it’s great. You are about 45-60min from Firenze, Lucca or Pisa. The drive is highway(toll road) and feels short and quick. You are also within an hour driving of great beaches north of Pisa such as Viareggio or Lido di Camaiore. One slightly annoying thing is that Montecatini Alto doesn’t really have anything but 6 restaurants and a couple of boutique shops. Lunch at the restaurants are easy walk ups, but if you want dinner you have to be there right as they open or make a reservation during lunch time or the day before. There isn’t a baker or grocery store but there is a small convenience type store with the basics like cereal/pasta/shampoo/etc. It does take siesta and close around 7:30/8pm, so keep that in mind. But, if you want to go to the baker in the morning for fresh bread, that isn’t an option. Just a 15min drive down the ‘mountain’ is both a big Coop and a big Esselunga so there’s plenty of grocery options but they aren’t within walking distance. This was a bit of a surprise for us, as we normally would walk to a baker/grocery store when we stay in Tuscany.
